Answer on @Quora by Alessandra Martellacci to As an atheist, what do you wish theists knew?
Answer by Alessandra Martellacci:
I wish theists knew that there is more love in this world than they know, so they need not comfort themselves with lies. Death isn't so frightening that one needs to lie to oneself to live through it. One cannot live through death and that's a good thing. It's what makes life important.
I wish they knew that their beliefs actually sully the miracles and mysteries that are life. I wish they understood the implication of a world that was not created for humans; a world that grew as organically as poetry, yet as perfect as an empty page.
